Our story
We’re not just sisters — we’re soulmates. Same sense of humour, same taste in style, and definitely more than a few dating horror stories. Like so many women, we’ve been trying to figure out how the hell you’re supposed to date these days. The thing we have struggled with the most is that no one really approaches anyone anymore. You’re looking good, feeling good, the energy is right… and yet, somehow, you’re totally invisible.
So, we started digging. And what we found was kind of shocking: People are actually scared to approach each other now. 78% of women say they wish they were approached more. And at the same time, 62% of men say they wish they approached more often. That’s a massive disconnect. And the reasons? They don’t want to feel embarrassed in front of other people. They don’t know if it’s the right time. Some are scared they’ll come off the wrong way. But the main reason? They can’t tell if she’s single or taken.
78% of women say they wish they were approached more. 62% of men say they wish they approached more often. That's a major disconnect.
Honestly, things have changed so much since our parents’ generation. Now it’s all swipes, prompts, and ghosting. Everyone says they want something real, but somehow, the whole thing feels... off.
And we got tired of blaming ourselves. Tired of wondering what was wrong with us. Were we not pretty enough? Cool enough? Funny enough? Should we be dressing differently? Working on ourselves more? Buying new clothes? Endless swiping, awkward small talk, forced “connections” — it was exhausting, and honestly, we were over it. We just wanted something real.
Then one night (over a bottle of red wine, obviously), we joked, “should we just wear a sign that says SINGLE so someone finally talks to us?”
That laugh turned into an idea.
That idea became a concept.
And that concept became Single&Seen.
Because what if you could wear your single status? What if you could give a little green light without saying a word? A way of saying: “Yes, I’m single. Yes, I want to be approached. Now’s your chance.”
What if you could give a little green light without saying a word?
Single&Seen was born for women like us — smart, stylish, selective. For women who feel like dating apps are not for them.
We don’t see ourselves as a brand. We’re a movement.
A movement against ghosting and swiping fatigue. A movement against the power of algorithms. A movement against everyone who tells you that modern day dating has to be this way. A movement for women who want to be seen as they are — not filtered, not gamified, not stuffed into a profile. A movement for those of us who believe real-life sparks still exist.
Because deep down, don’t we all want that moment, when someone actually notices you?
We believe that love still lives in the wild. It just needs a little nudge.
That’s where your SINGLE cap comes in. It's more than just a hat — it’s a signal, a statement, an invitation. No more waiting for the app to match you with someone. The SINGLE cap makes it easy to be seen, to be approached, and to find that real connection we’re all searching for.
We're so happy you're here. Whether you’re newly single, divorced, long-term solo, never been in a relationship before, or just totally allergic to dating apps like we are — Single&Seen is for you.
With love,
S&S
